Dr. Béla Bödecs has been a member of the board at the Council of Hungarian Internet Service Providers (ISZT) for more than 10 years. Throughout his career, he has worked in or co-founded several Hungarian telecommunications providers (Magyar Telekom, VIVAnet, Externet, Hungarian Media Exchange). His main professional field is Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Erzsébet Bánkúti

Secretary General
Hungarian Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE)

Dr. Erzsébet Bánkuti has more than 20 years of experience in the ICT sector. She started her carrier at the National Communications Authority, and she continued her professional work in the Ministry of Informatics and Communications where she was responsible for the codification of the Infocommunications Act as Head of Division for Telecommunication Regulation. Later in her career, in her position as the Deputy State Secretary of Infocom Regulations, her duty was to develop the strategy for infocommunication regulations in order to optimize industry development (National Broadband Strategy, Digital Switchover Strategy). She also has experience in the ICT market: as Corporate Affairs Director of Antenna Hungária, she actively participated in the digital switchover, currently working as a senior regulatory expert at the company. Outside her professional work, she is the General Secretary of the Scientific Association for Infocommunication (HTE). She is very enthusiastic about the Internet and the challenges brought by the new technologies and looks forward to seeing the young generations more involved.

Ervin Kajzinger

Director of International Affairs and Strategy
National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH)

Ervin Kajzinger is director of International Affairs and Strategy at the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), Hungary. In this capacity, Ervin is involved in several European co-operations of regulatory authorities such as BEREC, ERGA and ERGP. He is responsible for the activity of NMHH in international organisations including the ITU and the OECD. He also serves as co-chair of BEREC’s Regulatory Framework Working Group and alternate member of the Board of Regulators. Prior to this position, he worked in several ministries in Hungary where his primary role was development of ICT policies and strategies. He was one of the vice-chairs of the ICCP Committee of the OECD. Before serving in the public administration he worked as a consultant at Deloitte.

Gábor Magyar

Head of the Media and Telecommunications Department
Budapest University of Technology and Economics

Dr. Gábor Magyar is Head of Department of Budapest University of Technology and Economincs (BME) Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics (TMIT). He is also the President of multiple associations and groups: the Scientific Association for Infocommunications (HTE), the Inter-university Association for Telecommunications and Informatics (ETIK) and the Hungarian Oracle User Group (HOUG).

He is part of the Management of the Hungarian Mobility Platform (scientific forum for connected, automated vehicles and traffic systems), acting as the Head of Data Management Working Group. He has developed several university courses, has played central role in the development of educational programs at BME and has led several R&D&I projects in infocommunications and data science. Prior to his current roles, he served as the Director of Strategic Affairs in BME. He has worked in the National Council for Telecommunications and Informatics to the Hungarian Government and has been the ministerial commissioner for the European Institute of Technology and Innovation in Budapest. He also served as Chair or Member of several R&D Program bodies in the EU and the USA. His professional field is data science (data management and analytics).

István Erenyi

Senior Advisor and HU ICANN GAC Representative
Ministry of Innovation and Technology

Dr István Erenyi is a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology since 2018 and the ICANN GAC Representative for Hungary. Prior to that, he acted as Senior Counselor at the Ministry of National Development (2010-2018) and at the Permanent Representation of Hungary to the EU in Brussels (2007-2009). He worked as a Head of Department responsible for IT policy (1997-2006) and has been a Visiting Professor at Florida International University in the United States (1986-1988). Between 1968 and 1997, he has also worked as a Scientific researcher and head of department at KFKI and as a lecturer at the Technical University of Budapest.

He has a degree in Electrical engineering from the Radioelectronic Institute Moscow and earned hi Ph.D. in Computer architectures from MTA. Since 1985, he is a Honorary University Doctor - Sub Auspicii Rei Publicae Popularis.

János Zsakó

Managing Director
Managing Director, .hu Registry

Between 2011 and 2014, János was Development Director, and since October 2014 he is the Managing Director of ISZT Nonprofit Kft., the .hu ccTLD registry. Throughout his professional career, János contributed to the DNSSEC deployment and to elaborating a hardened and reliable environment for authoritative secondaries for .hu.

Between 2005 and 2011, as the Technology Director of 3C Kft (Budapest, Hungary), he managed to acquire a vast experience in satellite communications, network security, Internetrelated services like DNS, mail and routing. 3C offered Internet access services over ADSL countrywide and over microwave in the Budapest area. Between 1998 and 2005, János was the Technical Director at BankNet. He joined this data communication service provider in 1992. BankNet was a pioneer in offering commercial Internet services in Hungary from 1994 by taking transit services from Pipex UK.

János attended most of the RIPE meetings since RIPE 21, Rome. He was a member of the editorial committee of the RIPE address policy document ripe-136. As a member of the Database Security Task Force, he summarized the results in RFC2726. Later, he was a member of the RIPE Data Protection Task Force, and a member of the ad-hoc group for DNS WG 67.1. He gave a presentation on IPv6 penetration in Hungary at RIPE 68. In 2017, János acted as host for RIPE 74 in Budapest. As part of the host's duties, János took part in the Program Committee's work, helped the RIPE NCC with the technical setup of the meeting, and gave a short presentation at the opening plenary.

Károly Balázs Solymár

Deputy State Secretary for Infocommunication
Ministry for Innovation and Technology

Dr. Solymár is the Deputy State Secretary for Infocommunication at the Ministry for Innovation and Technology since 2018. Before that, he worked at the Ministry of National Development as Deputy State Secretary for Infocommunication (2014-2018) and as Head of Department of ICT Regulation and Organization (2010-2013). He also worked in the Prime Minister's Office as Deputy Head of the Department of Infocommunication (2008-2010), in the Ministry of Economy and Transport, as Deputy Head of the Department of Infocommunication and e-Economy (2006-2008), and in the Ministry of Information Technology and Communication, as Deputy Head of the Department of Regulation (2003-2006). Dr. Solymár has studied at Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Law (summa cum laude) and was enrolled at the ELTE Bibó István College for Advanced Studies.

Ottó Dalos

Ottó Dalos has been the CEO of CISCO in Hungary since 2017, after a long professional career at the company as Regional Sales Manager (2011-2017), Client Executive (2007-2011) and Account Manager (2000-2007). Prior to that, he worked at Motorola Hungary as a Business Development Manager (1996-2000), at Ericsson Hungary as an Account Manager (1994-1996) and at Kontrax as a Product Manager (1989-1994). He earned an MSCEE from the Technical University of Budapest in 1989. Outside the professional arena, is is also athe Deputy Chairman of HTTP Alapítvány in Hungary.
